WOUNDED OE INJURED ON ACTIVE SERVICE.— A/C.2 A. J. Gosney
Flight July 24TH, 1941

What were the places of death registration for:
AC2 Arthur J. GOSNEY - 1129861 - age 31 - not found Flight archives;
Cpl (WAAF) Marjorie J. SKINNER - 426755 - died on active service, and
AC1 Phillip J. TARBUCK - 1270705 - died on active service.
Also looking for the unit of:
AC1 Joseph W. PARTINGTON - 1406548:
- in Flight 5-3-1942 listed as "died of wounds or injuries received on active service";
- I had him listed on Panel 290 of the Runnymede Memorial,
- now found that his name is on the Addenda Panel of the Singapore Memorial.
Regards and thanks for your help.

Hi Henk
Gosney,31, registered at St Austell, Cornwall,
Marjorie J Skinner,22, registered at Ely, Cambridgeshire possibly a death in the RAF Hospital
Tarbuck didn't come on the register and CWGC was apparently too busy to allow me to check where was buried or came from.
Regards
Dick

Thanks friends for your support.

There is a 20 year old Phillip Tarbuck aged 20 in Oa district, Argyl during 1942. No middle name.
Can't find a Philip James or Phillip J in Eng birth registers except a Philip Tarbuck born 1920 in Staffordshire.
Partington is listed on the GRO RAF list but his unit is left blank, no info!

ADU lost Kittyhawk I serial AK589 23-1-1942. I've two possible crash locations:
- near Ain el Naga (Egypt ??), or
- engine cut, bellylanded 10 miles SSE of Bug Bug (where ever this may be !).
Is it possible that the pilot at the controls was AUS742 F/O James A. McINTOSH - RAAF - commemorated on Panel 264 of the Alamein Memorial ?
Regards and thanks for your help.
Henk.
Hi Henk,
Phillip James Tarbuck was an MT driver from RAF Port Ellen who was crushed underneath a heavy vehicle on Islay.
