    Default Strange RAf abreviation

    Good Evening

I have a RAF service book to an Sgt. Air Gunner which has a strange entry in the section of the book in the centre pages:

"Aircrew Catagory and or RAFTrade" it states: - AG / A.F.C.

Has anyone got any ideas on the A.F.C. heading?

He trained in Rhodesia 44 -45 and never flew in action it staes Overseas service of 8 months would this tie up with his training in Rhodesia?

Any advice or help greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

    Al

You got exactly the same as me, thanks for the confirmation.

It is a beauty of a puzzle though.

    Thanks for answering

    Default Just a thought

could it be something to do with Air Frame ----- whatever, I know that some of the guys at Pembroke Dock were prior to being aircrew, were airframe fitters etc. It does say "trade" in the entry. Just a thought.
