    Default S.a.u.g.h.a. 6 ?

Can anyone please tell me the meaning of the above abbreviation? Its entered on a service record.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Regards
    Peter.

are you sure it's not a typo for Saughall Massie (Cheshire) where No 5 Recruits Centre and No 4 Group Pool were based at times during teh war?

    Peter, Hi,
My rapidly corroding and decaying memory seems to have rung a very, very, faint bell. S.A.U.G.H.A. might (just, might) be similar to one of those Medics acronyms (PULHEEMS?, etc).

PULHEEMS was a medical system or checklist - would it have appeared as acronym, without subsequent entries for each of the items that should be checked?

Had another look at the service record and it goes like this....

    S.A.U.G.H.A 6 MASSIE

    1 Wg. Massie

    Admitted hospital West Kirby.
    ..................

Maybe it does relate to a medical term, what do you think guys?

    Regards
    Peter.

Looking at your reply Amrit, it also looks good, especially if its written as Saugha6 Massie definitely a 6 at the end, could be as you say, a typo.

    Peter.

RAF West Kirby is on Saughall Massie Lane and Arrowe Park Hospital is next road along but there may have been other hospitals in that part of Wirral

And I think the Lane is probably a better bet, in regards to West Kirby, than the place in Cheshire
