Default 23 Sqn Mosquito II - lost 9-9-42

Can someone give me the loss info on this a/c please? I don't have a s/m but the one crew member I am researching is F/Sgt. Gordon Robinson Wright, R93090 RCAF, who is listed on the Runnymede Memorial.

The other 23 Sqn RAFVR crewmen who died that day were:

    F/Lt. Neil Alexander Buchanan, 78719
Sgt. Arthur Malcolm Frederick Cook, 1067230
    F/O Ian Norman Stein, 67104

    Thanks as always.

    Default 23 Sqn Mossies

    Hi Dave

    From Norman Franks' FCL 42/43:

    23 Sqn Mosquito II, DD684, 'U'.
    Night intruder over Holland.
Sgt G R Wright RCAF and Sgt A M F Cook, both killed.

    Others were:

    DD689, 'S'.
Night intruder, Eindhoven area. Ditched 02.00. Pilot died of exposure but Navigator survived and was rescued.
    F/L N A Buchanan +
    F/O V G Brewis safe

    DD683, 'O'.
    Night intruder to Soesterberg.
    F/O I N Stein and Sgt H G Challicombe, both killed.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks Ian, that's more than I had for sure. Can anyone with the ORBs or other Mosquito references give me a location for the crash of DD684?

    Thanks.
