    Henk,

It appears that on 14-2-1942 Japanese troops had landed near Palembang airfield.
On 24-1-1942 two Hudsons of 62 Squadron had gone there from Singapore.

    May be related?

    Regards,

    Leendert

According to 'The Forgotten Air Force' by Probert, all available Blenheims and Hudsons, escorted by 14 Hurricanes were sent to attack a Japenese convoy on 14 Feb 1942 suffering heavy losses, but no other details are given. According to Richards and Saunders 7 aircraft were lost in this attack but again further details are not given.

The Japanese attacked P1 (near Palembang) whilst the above attack was taking place.

    AC1 James WINTER - 1018273 - 23 Sqn (Ford, Sussex) - Thanet
    AC2 Anthony J.R. ZOLKOWSKI - 1610341 - Flyde, Lancs (linked to Wilding?)

    Cpl (WOp) Kenneth B. HORWOOD - 638404 - Eton
    AC2 (WOp/Ag u/t) Kenneth I. OLIVER - 1380981 - Eton (I have him with 2 Signals School, could be linked to Horwood?)
