    Hi Henk
    Scowcroft,21, registered at Bolton, Lancashire
I found an Alexander I Murray,22,registered at North Kesteven, Lincolnshire but he doesn't quite the man you are looking for. CWGC has him as Alexander D and has him on an RAF Regt. Squadron which doesn't seem to be connected to Lincolnshire.
Settle didn't come up and I couldn't find him on CWGC
Now that Col has come with an alternative date for Settle, I have found a registrarion for him in 2nd Qtr 1940,age23, at Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
    Regards
    Dick

    Scotlands people is showing an
Alexander Drybur... MURRAY age 21 in the St. Giles district, Midlothian sometime in 1942. Kirkcaldy where he is buried is in Fife. The first name field wont let me enter any more letters then drybur but I guess thats our man.

Frederick R F Gibson age 48 in Dartford district, Kent.

Jack Scowcroft age 21 is registered in Bolton District, Lancashire along with a 73 James Scowcroft, and a 57 year old Robert Scowcroft. The two older men are not apparently listed among the CWGC civilian casualties (military for that matter).

I can't find Scowcroft or Gibson in the Flight Archives either.

Thanks friends for your help. Unbelievable how SETTLE's name came in my files dated 22-2-1942. Indeed had his name also on date 7-5-1940.
    Regards,
    Henk.

Not quoted above but in the database as 'unaccounted' for this date:-

101276 Air Mechanic F POTGIETER SAAF
    http://www.rafcommands.com/database/...hp?qnum=103450
    https://www.cwgc.org/find-records/fi...5/potgieter,-/

    Frederik Johannes Potgieter
'Soldier, SA Permanent Force' (Death Notice)
'Air Mechanic, South African Air Force' (Death Certificate)
Died at Potgietersrust Hospital, aged 23. The Death Certificate is very difficult to decipher but I believe it states 'Death as the result of shot gun wound'
