Hi guys

Hopefully someone can provide some details re the following:

8 April 1942: The airgunner aboard Whitley K8942 accidentally fired his guns during an air-to-air practice shoot, one bullet killing an ATS girl on the ground in Porthcawl. He was an RCAF sergeant/airgunner aboard Sgt J.B. Denton's Whitley. Do we know his identity?

27 June 1944: Martinet EM456 crashed into the sea off Porthcawl, killing Sgt Westmorland and LAC Reed. Divers found evidence that it had been hit by a 20mm cannon shell, possibly fired from the ground/ship or aircraft. Any ideas?

Cheers
Brian
