    Default Spitfire II P7350 - 72 Squadron.

    Can anyone please supply the history and fate of the above aircraft.

    Hi Peter, according to Air Britain RAF serials:

    IIA P7350 266/603/616/64/cgs/57 oto - Sold as scrap 8.7.48 but preserved in BoB Memorial Flight, G-AWIJ Not taken up

    Hi Pavel - Simon,

    Thanks for the info. I have a photo of the aircraft carrying the squadron code 'RN' which according the the book 'Combat Codes' - Flintham / Thomas, relates to 72 Squadron. Probably representing 72 squadron at some time

    It never belonged to 72 Sqn. but in 1994 it was wearing the code RN-S at the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
