    Hugh,

Mrs Evelyn Mary CARBY HALL (from Oct 1940 AFL).

    Note no hyphen in surname.

She was commissioned on 30 Nov 1938, as a Flight Officer.

    Hugh

William Keith Collier CARTER 34 SAAF
from Graham Du Toit's "Heroism beyond Praise -Warsaw "

Graham has him as both Lieutenant & Captain, as pilot commander but that might have been while he was taking part in the Warsaw airlifts in Sept.1944, then promoted to Major later

    Hugh,

Moloney, as identified by Dennis, appears in the Oct 1946 AFL as a temp Gp Capt (1 Mar 42) and is listed under Technical Branch (Signals).

    Default Names and "Names"

Many thanks for replies - three out of four in a matter of hours.

I know we all appreciate the efforts of Ross for creating this site and his continuing efforts (with help from Chris) at eliminating the idiots and spammers who keep coming back. One can usually spot them as they appear in "New Members" because they adopt such ridiculous "names". Think of "Cyncabrally" who registered on 13 July 2008 to plug stocks (and was quickly deleted). Or "Imineninc" who joined 10 April 2008 and could not even spell "good". Then there was "leabartrole" (joined 18 April 2008 and deleted within minutes). Since instituting his new measures, Ross has spared us their actual postings (I assume they are not deleted until they try to post something obscene) I note, for example, that "cynAlcocodia" joined on 10 April 2009 and was gone by the morning of the 11th and "pregotitudge" who joined on the 18th and was gone by 22 April.

A thankless task, gentlemen - and therefore, I (and roughly 315 others) thank you.
