Default Air Sea Rescue Units WWII

Could someone answer the following please:
What was the Air Sea Rescue Unit that provided service for RAF Chivenor and the North Devon coast in 1944-45?
    Where was it based?
    What did it consist of?

    Thank you

    Thank you Pete,
Are the units you have kindly marine craft and/or aircraft? And could you suggest the most likely one/ones that would have responded to a search for 6 airmen who had bailed out at night off the Cornish/Devon coast in Jan 1945? Thank you.
