    Default RAF Cranage "spyglass path"

    Hi Guys

    Over on a another forum we have been trying to ascertain the purpose of a "pan" on the boundary path of RAF Cranage.

    As you can see from the plan, there were two others which no longer exist because of the motorway.

    The path is concrete, with the central part being a rubbish filled pit. There have been plenty of suggestions elsewhere but none satisfactory. The most viable one seems to be that it was for an AA gun.

    Any ideas
