    Default Unaccounted airman - 27-2-1941

What was the place of death registration for LAC (Pilot u/t) Douglas C. ELLERBECK - 928881, who was killed on active service. On the 12 o'clock forum is a story that he was killed flying an unauthorized flight from Exeter to Bedford (?) to see his girlfriend. Shot down by friendly fire over the Playing fields of Oundle School.
This story may be incorrect as LAC Ellerbeck is listed as being killed on active service; also have no proposal for a lost aircraft.
    Regards,
    Henk.
