    Default Beaufighter KV979, 6 March 1944 accident

Hi, on 6th March 1944 this 604 Sqdn aircraft swung on take off and hit trees on Scorton airfield's perimeter. The pilot was sadly killed and the nav/rad op was injured.

Is anyone able to supply the deceased pilots name please, and if recorded, the injured airman's name as well.

Thanks for your ongoing assistance, regards Rich Allenby.
