    Sure about the MkIX?

Could it have been a PRXI aircraft?

    Brian,

    Maybe:

    30/8/1943
    No.682 Sqn.
    Spitfire PR.XIT EN660

    Missing (Foggia)

    133759 F/O Stuart Hugo Armer WOODHOUSE +

    Commemorated on the Malta Memorial.

    Faithfully recorded in:-

    Spitfires Over Sicily.
Cull,Brian (with Nicola Malizia and Frederick Galea)
    London:Grub Street,2000.
P.201 (but no mention of Woodhouse in App.VII).

    So methinks, not!

    Default Spit IX lost 30/8/43

    Hi Ross and Col

Yes, this is probably the one! I should have looked in my own book first!!

Apparently fell victim to a couple of US Spit Vs!! Still investigating.

    Thanks guys

    Brian
