Default Loss of Stirling EF209 TV-H

    Dear all,

Chorley's BC Losses (HCUs) reports that the above aircraft crashed near Stapleford, Lincs at 0345 hrs on 17 Jun 1944, following evasive action that was taken to avoid a mid air collision. Does anyone have any more information ref this? What was the other aircraft involved?

    Thanks in advance

    Jonny

    Thanks Pavel.

I am posted to Germany in 2 weeks and won't be able to get down to Hendon in the meantime. Is anyone going down that way and could pull the accident card for me! Pretty please?

    TIA

    Jonny

If the accident was avoiding a collision during approach, isn't it likely to be another Stirling also in the circuit, rather than an aircraft from elsewhere?
