According to the Nachtjagd War Diaries, the abschusse possibly belonged to Uffz Johann Werthner of 7./NJG2 flying a Ju88, the plane crashing in the Wesel-Bottrop area (planquadrate KO), the attack happening at 01.24 at an altitude of 5.400m.
