    Default Sgt. R F. Sellers. 111224.

The following link gives Sgt. Sellers as being with 45 and 111 Squadrons but in 'Men of The Battle of Britain' - Wynn, he is listed as being with 46 and 111 Squadrons.

Could someone please confirm which is correct?

    Any help would be appreciated

    Regards
    Peter.

    Hi Peter
It seems that the 45 Sqn reference could be a typo on someones part. Jefford, RAF Squadrons has 45 Sqn a.equipped with Blenheims, Vengeances and Mosquitos and b. spending almost the entire war from Jan '39, in the Middle and Far East.
46 Sqn was a Hurricane unit based in UK from Mar '39-May'41,a temporary hiatus in Jun '40 when it's a/c and most pilots were lost on the Glorious nr Norway. It was sent to the M East in May '41 but Jefford records that the aircrew were sent to 126 Sqn on Malta. 46 became an MU at Abu Sueir but was restored as a Sqn by renumbering an element of 89 Sqn in May'42 when it was re-equipped with Beaufighters
    Hope this helps
    Regards
    Dick
