    Default Oxford ED137 loss, 27th Nov 1942

Hi, is anyone able to supply the name of the pilot of this aircraft, who I believe was killed flying solo when it came down near Cherry Burton, East Yorkshire on 27th November 1942. It was with 15 (P)AFU at the time flying out of Leconfield.

Thanks in advance for your time. regards Rich Allenby

Of the RAF death on that date, Alec Richard SOWDEN who's death was registered in Holderness seems the most likely candidate.

Martyn, many thanks for looking this one up for me. I agree he sounds like he could fit but will check with the am1180 in due course.

    Much appreciated, Rich
