    Default HK187, 256 Squadron

    Hi All:

Mosquito HK187 of 256 Squadron was lost on 8 April 1945. The transcription of the Air Britain entry I have says it went "missing from bomber support mission over Yugia."

Do any Air Britain types or 256 Squadron fans know if this should be "Yugoslavia"? Or is it an obscure (hence no longer used) place name in Italy?

    TIA

    Hello Mark,

Don't know which Air Britain source you have but mine has
    " HK187 - 256 - Missing from bomber support mission over Yugoslavia, 8.4.45".

    Thanks Alex:

I'd been using the text file at:

No doubt a "copy-ists error" as my old Latin teacher used to say. Cave!

    Cheers,

    Mark
