    Default Unaccounted airmen - 28-6-1940

What caused the death of following airmen:

LAC Keith R. DEAN - 967882 - died of wounds or injuries received on active service (Flight Global), his name commemorated on Panel 3 of the Stockport Crematorium (UK6160A), and

Cpl Harry MOORE - 351185 - whose name I can't find in The Times and Flight Global archives, buried Epsom Cem., Epsom and Ewell, Surrey (UK4212).

Proposed aircraft losses for this day:
    Blenheim I - L1397 - 600 Sqn - overshot landing at night.
Lysander II - L4754 - 4 Sqn - crashed in forced landing 5 miles S of Wakefield, Yorkshire.
    Master I - N7702 - 8 FTS - crashed in forced landing Alford, Aberdeenshire.

Regards and thanks for your help.
    Henk.

    Default Unaccounted airmen - 28-6-1940

Henk, Just going back through all your old postings and I have the pilot of Lysander L4754 as being P/O A B Corbett and a.n.other being injured and L4754 as coming down not near Wakfield but 5 miles north of York, and just to the south of Sutton on the Forest.

Not that that has helped your original query ! regards Rich

A late addition, Cpl. H Moore is listed in late 1940 Flight magazine as DOAS.
