    G'day Malcolm

    "ROFFEY, ALFRED VICTOR; Sgt R/85664
    THOMAS, CYRIL; AC1 1277171
killed aboard Lysander, P1719 which flew into a hill in Glamorgan?"

Both of the above airmen were indeed killed on the 12th of February, 1942 when Lysander s/n P1719 from No. 7 Air Gunner School crashed northeast of Kenfig Hill at Point Fairwood in Wales.

    Cheers...Chris

The death registers have a Albert V Roffey age 24 in Neath District, and a Cyril Thomas age 19 in the same district of Glamorgan. Typo on Roffey's first name in the register but Chris beat me too it.

Clifford Q F Hartley age 25 and John Corrie age 32 in Cirencester District, Gloucestershire; Windrush was in that district at that time.

    Hi Dennis

Many thanks, it was the registration districts that gave me the suspected links.

    All the best

Please include the registration district information if you have it, save us checking again. No point telling you what you already know.
