    Default Unaccounted airwoman and airmen - 29-5-1942

    What were the places of death registration for:

    A - Died on active service:
    AC2 Clarence A. BENNETT - 1452606 - age 35, and
    LAC (Driver) Herbert N. FORD - RCAF R/59645 - 400 Sqn (Odiham, Hampshire).

    B - Found in Flight archives however unreadable:
    F/Lt Henry HOLLINGDRAKE - 77472.

    C - Not found in Flight archives:
    C.W. (no first names) PERREMAN - 1286213, and
    ACW1 Hilda M.M. TURNER - 2022376.

    D - Proposed aircraft losses:
    Hudson III - FH245 - 1444 Flt - crashed on take-off Portreath.
    Hudson III - FH309 - 1444 Flt - crashed on take-off Portreath.

    FH245, crew safe, no fatalities.

    FH309, 07/06/1942, swung on take off at Horsham St. Faith.

    Ford's name from the Canadian newspapers list him as:

    Ford, Herbert Norman, Leading Aixcraftman, died while on active service overseas. Mrs. H: N. Ford (wife), 512 Toronto° St ., Winnipeg, is next-of-kin.

    There is no matching name in Scotland and but in England and Wales there is a

    Herbert N Ford age 29 in Cuckfield District, Sussex.

    I didn't find Perreman or Turner either in Flight magazine. have to do a visual check when I retire. ;-)

    TSGNO (Allison) has age 22 for LAC Herbert Norman FORD; he was from Winnipeg, Manitoba.

    Hello

    LAC (Driver) Herbert N. FORD - RCAF R/59645 - his R.C.A.F. records states the died 'Fooling with gun, shot himself' and states that this was an accident.

    He was admitted to Hurstwood Park Hospital, Haywards Heath at 7.30p.m. on May 26th 1942, and died three days later at 6.50 a.m.

    C.W. (no first names) PERREMAN - 1286213 - his full name is Charles Walter Perreman.
