The ORB appendices have combat report that lists 12 a/c on the 0930 fighter sweep,
The theres 12 names also, and comparing these names to the 73 Sqn ORB which like others on tha tday at least does not list Cantrill in the Record of events.

Six names match up to the 73 Sqn Record of Events, and the order of the aircraft S/N's also match, thus based on the Combat report, page 233 of the appendix Cantrill may have been in Hurricane BM330
His service file scanned on Ancestry.com barely mentions his loss, makes me think it isn't completely scanned.
