Thanks friends for this helpful info.
AlanW & Dick: I missed GIBBS and WILLIAMS completely, even where their names are listed in Harry Moyle's Hampden file and (shameful) on my book shelf !

    Hello

AC1 Robert B. FORBES - 1027191 - the Statutpry Deaths Register on the Scotland's People website records that he died at 34.45 p.m. at 28, Main Street, Bo'ness, due to carcinoma of the lung.

LACW Winifred A. MILLER - 444605 - the Manchester Evening News of June 11th 1942 reported the following:

BLACKBURN WAAF DIES IN RIDING FALL
Shortly after she was to receive her commission in the W.A.A.F., Leading Aircraftwoman Winifred Ann Miller (22), whose home is at Whalley New Road, Blackburn, has died following a riding accident. Miss Miller, who volunteered 15 months ago, was an expert horsewoman, and it is thought she fainted whilst riding.

The Dundee Courier of June 8th reported that she visited a riding school near Arborath, and was admitted to Arbroath Infirmary after being found with head injuries by the roadside.

    Regards

    Simon
