    Default D Wilson 2-9-1942

Looking for information on the death of Sgt (Pilot) Dennis WILSON 1074972 on 2-9-1942. Death registered in Oakham, shown as Killed on Active Service.

Oakham includes Cottesmore (14 OTU), although unable to locate any other casualties that day registered at Oakham.

    Many thanks

    Hi Martyn
I came across your post while I was helping my 9 year old with his homework, on World War 2. Just out of interest, I googled my uncle's RAF number and name, which are on a slip of paper in the original delivery box containing his war medal. The number and name? 1074972, Sgt (Pilot) Dennis Wilson. May I ask why you were looking for information on his death? I may be able to help you further.
    Regards
    Annie

    Annie,

Thanks for your note, I was simply researching WWII casualties from the Rotherham area.
