    Can anyone tell me the details of this crash that occurred near Budna, Bedfordshire, please.

    Hi Colin,

    according to RAF serials by Air Britain

    Crashed on ferry flight, Beeston Fields, Biggleswade, Beds., 1.4.42, destroyed by fire, believed both engine cut.

    The following RAF airman died that day and are registered in Biggleswade, Beds.

    John H Ellis P/O (Pilot) age 29 - this name is on the register but listed as age 79 - Assumed typo on register?
    Harry Clarke Sgt, (Obs) age 21
    William Luney Sgt (Air Gun) age 21 (Strangley, parents listed as from Essex but he is buried in Belfast)
    George Horton Sgt (W Op/AG) age 29

    I see that they are not llisted in Henk's unaccoutned airmen so he can confirm this I think.
