    Default Spitfire VIII, JF344

    Hi All

The above aircraft was hit by flak and crashed near Baska Voda, Makarska, Yugoslavia on 15th February 1944.

Does anyone know the name and fate of the pilot?

    All the best

    Malcolm

I know the date is a day off but

F/Lt J McM Brodie J/7602 is buried in Belgrade War Cemetery for 14th February 1944.

His unit is listed as 32 (R.A.F.) Squadron.

    Hi Dennis

Air-Britain lists JF344 being with 32 Sqn and also being lost on 14 Feb so date I quotes could be out and this looks the most likly candidate

    Many thanks
