    Default Accr ?

    Hi,

During the two last months of 1941, some Free French pilots have been detailed to an Aircraft Delivery Unit in Middle East.

I enclose a link for reading an extract of a logbook for December 1941. If we can guess a name of a Slt A. Duquil (?) for Aircraft Delivery Unit (Middle East), I do not know what is the definition of ACCR as Unit !

    Please check here :

Can anyone please tell me the meaning of this abbreviation?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Sincerely,

    Bertrand

    hello Bertrand,

Actually it's A.R.R.C., not ACCR. I'm away from "R.A.F. Flying Training and support unit since 1912" and if nobody else has replied until I'm back home after work, I'll check in the book.

An acronym that I remember is A.C.R.C. (a mix of your letters) meaning AirCrew Reception Centre. A kind of holding unit, when one's waiting for the next job or course.

    Cheers

    hello,

there's nothing matching ARRC in "R.A.F. Flying Training and support units since 1912".

In the ARx possibilities, we have :
    ARC : Aircrew Reception Centre
    ARD : Aircraft Repair Depot
    ARF : Aircraft Repair Flight
    ARP : Aircraft Repair Park
    ARS : Aircraft Repair Section
    ARU : Aircraft Repair Unit
    ARWF/S : Advanced Rotary Wing Flight/Squadron

    ACRS : Aircrew Refresher School

Unless it might be a French acronym ?

    Hi Bertrand,
It could be Allied Rapid Reaction Corps.

    Hello Bertrand,

Can't help with ARRC, but the OC Aircraft Delivery Unit (ME), probably: 37468 S/L Alexander Gordon DUGUID.
