Default Les Pollard W/Op 15 Sqn Mildenhall

    Hello,

Does anyone have any information concerning Les Pollard a Wireless operator with 15 (XV) Squadron? I know he served with the squadron until December 1943, flying four operations.
He left the squadron when they converted on to Lancasters, apparently because the noise of the Lancasters was too great. He is believed to have gone to serve on a squadron still equipped with Stirlings.

Does anyone know if he survived his tour and which squadron he went to?

There is a Charles Leslie Pollard listed on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission site, but he was killed OCtober 1944, flying Lancasters with 90 squadron. Could he be the same chap?

Any help will be much appreciated.

    Sam
