Default Flt Sgt G. K. McKee RNZAF NZ427031

Does any member have any information about this Kiwi Wop/AIR who flew with 625 Sqn at the end of WW11??

Any New Zealanders know if he is still alive?

NZ427031 George Kenneth McKee enlisted in NZ 16/7/42, commenced aircrew training at Rotorua 29/4/43 as LAC, embarked for Canada 18/7/43, trained in Canada with 2 WS, 5 B&GS, qualified as Sgt WOAG 24/4/44, disembarked UK (12 PD&RC) 2/6/44, to 9 (O) AFU, to 10 OTU 24/10 for crewing up, to 71 Base, to 73 Base, to 625 Sqdn 10/4/45, to Wigsley (28 ACHU) approx 9/45, disembarked NZ approx January 1946, tfd to Reserve & discharged 18/3/46. He was promoted to F/Sgt 24/10/44. He is a distant relative of mine (my mother is a McKee). Seems as though he just managed to get into the shooting war before the whole show folded up.

    a1rbus,
Unfortunately have no idea if he is still alive or not, although probably survived well into the 1970s at least. He is from the Auckland branch of my mother's family, of which we have no real knowledge.
