    Henk,

these two remaining airmen passed me by.

Ward's death registered at Carlisle, my only suggestion would be Magister R1969 at Kingstown on the 2nd.

Wilkinson's death registered at Wigton, Silloth comes under this jurisdiction and maybe Hudson N7277 CTO on the 8th.

Trust all goes well on the 18th.

    regards

    DaveW

    Default Hudson N7277

Thanks Dave for your info and also for your supporting words due to my surgery 18th. Have to report at the hospital (Doetinchem) before 7 AM !!!
Hudson N7277 was assigned to 1 OTU (Coastal Command) and perhaps Ross may confirm.
    Best regards,
    Henk.

Thanks Dennis for additional info. Sorry for belated answer due to a weeks trip into Germany. Better circumstances than in 2008 as mentioned in this thread.
    Regards,
    Henk.

HI Henk - I have been researching Sgt (WOp) - 646080 - Arthur Williams (on behalf of his rather 'aged' sister, who would like to know now exactly what happened) - and during internet searches your thread came up!! I wonder if you have any information on Arthur that ypu could let me have??

Henk passed away last year unfortunatly, but the basics of what happened are stated on the previous page, post #9 I think.

For a small record of the crash you can contact the RAF Museum in Hendon and request the Air Ministry Form 1180 for the loss. Email address and contacts are at this link.

Also, run a google search for the aircraft - Anson N5019, there are some details online.

    This google books result also:

I would be very grateful if anyone could pass on any further information to me of Arthur Williams 646080.I am very grateful to everone who has already provided valuable information. I will be contacting the RAF for the service report.I am related to Arthur Williams who died in active service aged 19.I believe, but am not certain that he is related to me as a great Uncle. I was recently given a photograph of him in his uniform passed down through my great grandfather Thomas Elwyn Williams.I would me very appreciative to hear from any other relaives or any persons with more information as I am also researching the family tree. Many thanks.
