    Dave,
All registered at North Bucks exept Venus, he is registered at Narberth, Wales, so he's the closest for Pembrokeshire.

    Dave
If it helps, Narberth was in Pembrokeshire, it was succeeded after the war by transfer to Haverford West which might help to place it geographically.

    Alan/Dick,

Thanks for that, this looks to be correct I have an Anson EG639 in the hills 4 miles north of Narberth with pilot F/Sgt William Kenneth Owens 1434777 RAFVR and one other crew member on a W/T test, the fact Venus was a Nav threw me for a while so I wondered if any of the others a couple of which were A/G and one W/OP/AG might have tied in, but it looks like Venus is the one one in that area. Can either of you confirm Owens was registered at Narberth as well please?

    Regards
    Dave.

    Dave,
OWENS and VENUS are still on my list of airmen unaccounted for 17-12-1944. Could not find a match as EG639 of 10 RS is listed by Air Britain for 15-12-1944 (Flew into high ground in bad weather, 4 miles N of Whitland, Pembs.).
Date AB incorrect or correct and both airmen died two days after the accident ?
    Regards,
    Henk.
