I am hoping that somebody might be able to help me identify this officer's duties in late 1941/early 1942.
From NA/Kew I have a copy of a letter (9/2/42) addressed to him at the Ministry of Aircraft Production (MAP) but it gives no indication that I can decipher of his role or the branch at MAP that he might have headed up. It is only a guess on my part but he could have been Director of Production Canada and America (DPCA).
I am sorry to say that trying to find an answer on the web is defeating my limited search skills. I can find mentions of him in 1943 when he was Director of Training at the Air Ministry but so far nothing earlier.
Any answers or leads gratefully received
Steve

Thanks Eddie I must be getting even more addled than I thought (I think it's the grey hair that saps your strength). I use Malcolm's site a fair bit but for some reason did not come up with that.
To save time for other readers it seems he was Controller of Research and Development at MAP.
