He is buried in Grave 5. D. 20.

Adjacent and on same date are
    5. D. 19. S/Ldr A S Hunter

Both names appear under 'Died On Active Service' in the Flight magazine dated May 2nd 1946.

A non aircraft related death and perhaps a car accident.

The GRO RAF Overseas Death Index lists Hunter as being with 252 Squadron.

    Default J W Slade

Jack Slade DFC was killed in a road accident at night when his jeep ran into the back of a lorry on Syngrou Avenue, Athens.

This info via ex 94 squadron members - Jack had commanded 94 till disbandment in April 1945.

If you have info for Jack Slade during his time with 94 I would be delighted to know to help in my history of 94 squadron.

    Regards,

    Ian Simpson
