    Default Activities of 145 Sqdn Jan/Feb 1942?

My grandfather was posted to No 145 Squadron over the period January and February 1942.

The Squadron was located at Catterick in Yorkshire during this period.

I would like to know what sort of action the Squadron would have been involved in over this period (eg sweeps or convoy patrols etc). And no, I don't have the log book.

Also, what was the Wing at Catterick called, and what other Squadrons made up the Wing?

    Thanks

    Adrian

According to Rawlings - 'Fighter Squadrons of the RAF & their aircraft' squadron was doing North Sea patrols and training OTU pilots for 11 Group (Action Stations Vol.4) prior to being the first Spitfire Squadron in the Western Desert. No Wing based at Catrerick just a succession of squadrons being rested or formed.

Thanks John for providing the details and source. I had no idea where to even start looking for details on this short of trying to order copies of the ORB.
