    1)15.9.40
    976 Tunbridge Wells
    Hurricane 1 P3080, 1 RCAF.
    Shot down by 109ís F/O Nesbitt bailed out wounded and admitted to hospital. Based Northolt.
    Cat 3.

    2)15.9.40
    976 Tunbridge Wells
    Hurricane 1 P3876, 1 RCAF.
    As above F/O R Smithner killed. Cat 3

    3)25.10.40
    66 Tunbridge Wells, Capel.
    Spitfire I X4170. Shot down over the town. F/O Oxspring bailed out slightly injured in an orchard.
    Based Gravesend. Cat 3

    4)10.10.40
    Nr Tunbridge Wells.
    Hurricane 1 V6570. Shot down. P/O LC Murch bailed out.
    Hospitalised with broken arm. Based Kenley. Cat 3.

    Please can anyone provide any further details surrounding any of the above incidents?

    Not much David but every crumb helps.......
    V6570: left a/c with broken arm, 1200h. Survived accident 3.9.40 on Hurricane P3610.
    P3876: crashed near Staplehurst, Kent, 1210h. Brother Sydney F. Smither killed 5.6.42 on Spitfire BL849.
    X4170: crashed near Capel, Kent, 09.00h; pilot baled out.
    P3080: baled Turnbridge Wells area 1210h.

    Thanks Henk. The times of these incidents are helpful.
    As these are BoB wondered too if someone had a copy of Battle of Britain then and now?
