Default 489 Sqdn Loss Oct 42 Sgt Vincent

    Hi,

I've had an enquiry via my website that I hope someone here can help me out with.

I'm looking for details relating to the loss on 28th October 1942 of Sgt S J Vincent ( 1316950) who is commemorated on Runnymede Memorial.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

    Regards
    Linzee

Yikes, a response within 13 minutes! Many thanks for that speedy info Ross, just what I needed.

Do you happen to know what crew position Sgt Vincent would have been? I'm not familiar with crew positions in a Hampden.

    Dear Linzee
Assuming all crew lists were written in the same order...... please be aware they may not be....
    In a Hampden
    Pilot... front top
Navigator.... front bottom, in the nose.
    W/op A/G .... back top
A/G..... back bottom, in the "bin".

    Hope this makes sense

    James
