    Default Douglas Pearson

    Hello,
I would like to know more about this pilot, Douglas Pearson, I believe he was pilot during the war, of Catalinas,he was after the war living in Tahiti, flying Short bermuda.
He was him who bought the last Bermuda which stayed here in Polynesia and he gave the aircraft to le Musée de l'air du Bourget in 1978.
He died in England in 2001.

Thank you for your help, Alain.

    Bonjour ou bonsoir Alain

There is an article concerning Douglas Pearson known as "le barbu" in the N°122 June 2001
in the Tahiti Pacifique Magazine bottom of the page with a photo
    www.tahiti-pacifique.com/98-/122/display
It is possible that the author has more details.

    Best regards

    Hi Alain,

Can't help with Douglas Pearson, but others might care to take a look at the pre-history of F-OBIP (ex-Sunderland III JM719).
