Hi Alex, I am afraid that the Aircraft Movement Cards were done only for planes with the RAF serials.
Anyway I would suggest you to contact RAF Museum Hendon, where the held Aircraft Movement Cards, and ask.
Pavel
Hi,
I'm doing some research into the Northrop N-3PB and it's use by 330 (Norwegian) Squadron. The aircraft were built in the US for the Norwegians and received construction numbers 301-324. They were shipped to Iceland for use by 330 (N) Squadron.
As far as I know they never received RAF serials, at least they never wore any. As such would the RAF have maintained a movement card for these aircraft?
I'd like to try and trace the history for each aircraft.
Regards,
Alex

Hi Alex,
They do not have a Form 78 as such but appear under the logs of impressed aircraft.
They were recorded under the Cat A/B/C/E accidents in the Form 1180 series.

Just a small question to that subject...
What is exactly: an aircraft movement card?
Is it a kind of Form where all movements in & out of the squadron were noted?
What kind of information can be found there?
Hi Greg,
yes it is form with the movement records from/to operational squadrons, service units, factories, etc.

Sorry to jump the post Alex,
Does anyone know if 330 and other Norwegian Sq ORBs are still online? I had these on disc but can`t find it, also the link for these seems to be dorment.
Regards
Dave.
Thanks Pavel for your quick reply! :)
Does it also contain information about any repairings, and technical service made within their service in a squadron?
A common practice was giving new individual code letters to aircrafts that were returning from maintenance units...
Is there a chance that above mentioned movements cards may tell us about the code letters of aircrafts?
Hi Dave,
I also noticed that ther link for the 330 and other Norwegian Sqn ORBs was also down. I have 330 ORB on my drive if that's any help.
