    Default Oxford ED266

    Who was at the controls and killed 21-8-1944 on Oxford ED266 of 14 (P)AFU. Collided with Oxford V4082 of same Unit over the Mains of Paithwick, 4 miles E of Keith, Morayshire.
    Killed on V4082 was F/O (Pilot/Instr.) H.T. HAYNES - NZ416485 (sole occupant).
    Casualty on ED266 could have been F/O James LAW - 161729, buried Bacup (Farewell) Cem., Lancashire (UK485).

    Henk,

    Law & Haynes are listed consecutively in the deaths register, place of death being 'Mains of Pethnick Grange' which is 4m E of Keith, Banffshire.

    A casualty message on Haynes service record confirms that Law was the pilot killed in ED266.
