Cheers for that Ross. Do you have a unit by any chance?

    Ross,
Is this the 132 OTU Blenheim that dived into the ground whilst on a practice flight, attributed to the pilot losing control in cloud. I have it as near a place called Lander, but cannot find such a place on Google maps.

    Yes, this is the aircraft.

Location of crash was near Lauder, Berwickshire, in the Borders.

Lauder is on the southern side of the Lammermuir Hills to the NW of Galashiels.

    Hi,
Something i've just picked up on with the file i have (copy of CC file) is that this aircraft in question, which dived into the ground, is put down as only Cat A damage, yet a Beaufighter from a TDU which landed without damage on the 19th Dec is listed as Cat E. There are several more of these which seem to be listed wrongly, there is also a Cat X which i did'nt know about.

    Default Blenheim Z7443 8 Dec 1942

Air-Britain ' RAF Aircraft W1000-Z9999', lists Z7443 as crashing 3 mls NW of Lauder - which would be circa Collie Law.
