    Default Brest raids 1941/1942

AIR41/47 gives for the raids on the Brest Group - Scharnhorst, Gneisenau and Prinz Eugen - April 1941 to January 1942 amongst other ordnance dropped, 28 X 11,004lb GP bombs, this is well outside the time frame for either the 'Tallboy' or the 12,000lb HC bombs. Wondered if this was a misprint, if not does anyone have details of the 11,004lb GP bomb?

    Any help would be appreciated

    Regards
    Peter

Hi Peter, from my point of view 11,004lb is typo as normally there is alway 0 at the end. This number simply looks strange.
There was normally 1000 lb GP bomb or 4 lb incendiary bomb.

    Hello Pavel,

Many thanks for your reply, it seems as you say, a typo error, just wanted to make sure.

    Regards
    Peter
