    Default Frank Edgar Croce

    Hi All

I have received the following request through my website, but cannot help

"I am looking for any info on an RAF Officer Wing Commander Frank Edgar Croce (Retired with the rank of Group Captain in 1963) who was awarded the Czech Pilots badge on 28/03/1942.
I think he may have been something to do with Bomber Command.I have his log books (3 of) from 1935 - 1960 & his Spinks made Bage & certificate .
He flew numerous types of planes in WW2 mainly on "Training " flights no squadrons are shown and most of the entries are in code of one form or another.
I've contacted Hendon they have no details of his wartime service (As in what he was doing & the award of the Czech Badge) they did show interest in his log books when i read out some of the entries (Beam tests & looking for possible landing Grounds June 1940).
I have the London Gazette entries for his service ,can anyone help me fill in the blanks ??"

    Can anyone out there help?

    All the best

    Malcolm

    Malcom,
He died in Feb 1991 - Registered in the Portsmouth district. There are no Croces listed in the Portsmouth BT list, so the DC may be the only way to find who Registered the Death (a daughter, for example, who's married name is not Croce).
Looks like a job for Pavel!!!
