Default Attacks on Training fields in 1944

My father once told me about an air raid on the base he was stationed at. I know he was at the following between 6 Sep 1944 to the end of the war.

22 OTU (Wellsbourne Mountford and/or Gaydon)
    1664 HCU (Dishforth)
1659 HCU (Topcliffe and or Dalton)

Can anyone tell me if there were attacks at these locations in that time period or how to find out?

I believe the HCUs suffered attacks from German intruders at various points, though this tended to be in 1941, then March-April 1944, then March 1945.

"Intruders Over Britain" says Dishforth was attacked by Lt. Arnold Doering in a Ju 88 of Iv./NJG 3 during Operation Gisela, March 3/4 1945. He shot down one Halifax and caused another to force-land. There's a transcription of his account of the sortie in the book.

Thanks Mark, I will look that one up. I think the date doesn't coincide with his location at the time (he was at Topcliffe by this point) but I'd be interested in reading about it anyway.
