    Can any one direct me to a web site for 781 sq FAA I want a sq history and it is not easy to find one!!Ive even tried the FAA museum site with no luck.

    Not much but there is a 3/4 page in Sturtivant & Ballance's "The Squadrons of the Fleet Air Arm", plus a couple of pages on the aircraft types used.

    Some bright spark in the 50's allegedly thought that no one would want to read all this boring dross about FAA activities, log books, squadron record books, flights in/out, aircraft schedules etc. that was taking up needed shelf space, and a great deal were trashed. If only he'd took an 'O' level in history!
