Thanks Dick. DWYER possibly a Hudson casualty...our Yorkshire specialist probably will come up with the answer.

The Hudson was on the western edge of what is now South Yorkshire, a long way from Buckrose.

No problem, I do have the ORB entry, it doesn't say much, simply that the aircraft was forced landed at Deepcar and was transferred..... I presume the missing text was to No.## Group pool / account , which seemed the norm for such accidents with the a/c being removed by an MU for assessment and disposal / repair.

    Henk,

Dwyer killed in same incident as Young / as per your 5-11-42 post, as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning at a "North East Aerodrome", probably Driffield.

I hope Im not the Yorkshire "specialist!"

I understand that Hudson AM531 force landed and then slided into a ravine and two crew plus one other on board injured. No names sadly, bit out of the area of Thornaby! Anyone know why it was so far south and so far in land ?

    regards Rich

    Hi Henk
Dwyer's registration at Buckrose puts him in the right area for Driffield
