    Hi Henk
    Bishop,43, registered at Chippenham,Wiltshire
    Gledhill,39,registered at Truro,Cornwall
    Evans,20, registered at Merioneth South
Davies,27, Fuller,22, Gordon,21, Gregg,23, and LeMar,27, all registered at Swindon,Wiltshire. This could connect them to Liberator AL595.Bishop is registered in the next area to Swindon but to the West of Lyneham and probably not connected to the others.
Hall,22, Wright,30, and Zenke,20, registered at Cardigan North
Milnes was buried at his home in Hudderfield but the registration didn't come up
Warner has no record of casualties on V5814,but like you has it on 224 Sqn.From Jefford-RAF Squadrons 224 never had Blenheims and at the time were operating Liberators from Beaulieu having previously had Hudsons. They might have had a Blenheim as a hack a/c
    Regards
    Dick

    Hi Dick,

As you say all multi engined squadrons had squadron/station hacks, usually the venerable Anson but in this case Blenheim IV, V5814 which took of for training at 11:00 hrs.

    Henk,
S/L A S Mirylees, 39554 was the pilot, no reported injuries.

Evans, Zinke, Wright and Hall on Anson N5281.

    Regards
    Ross

Thanks Dick & Ross for your help. Glad to know about the Anson as losses over sea are not listed in the Air Britain Aeromilitaria "Crash Sites in the UK during WW2". Nine deleted from the unaccounted list, this cleans up !
    Regards,
    Henk.

Just realised I had an entry from the Towyn ORB about Evans, his body was discovered washed ashore between Towyn and Aberdovey on the 11th December 1942.
