Abbreviation.. SPDC

Hi,
On a service record i have an airman posted to "SPDC" on 14/09/44, then on to ACSEA on 29/09/44, i know about ACSEA, but what does SPDC stand for please.

I suspect that what you are looking at is actually:

5PDC - No.5 Personnel Despatch Centre at Heaton Park.

Your man most likely was posted there preliminary to embarking for the Far East.
