Can anyone tell me what MRU stands for? The chap who wrote from here had been injured when he was shot, taken a POW but repatriated here after a few months.
I am guessing it must be something like Medical Recovery Unit but would like to know for sure.

I was alerted to your query by MRU. In our world that stands for Meteorological Research Unit!!!!
However, in this case, you may be looking at Medical Rehabilitation Unit (same like Headley Court today). Just a thought.
