Default Sqd Ldr Anthony Richard Henry Barton

This former Battle of Britain pilot was killed in a flying accident on April 4 1943 aged 29. Men of the B of B says a collision on the runway, another source says forced landing. Is any one able to supply any more details please. CWG says he was with 16 OTU but I believe he may have been instructing with 53 OTU in Llandow, Wales.

Both statements are true. Barton's a/c, P7378 was in collision with P8641, 1049419 CSR Hamilton (k) after making a forced landing at Llandow.

P8641 was a presentation a/c 'North West Surrey'
